A ceramic figurine inspired by the Disney Studios animated film "Dumbo" (1941). Featuring the large-eared elephant holding onto a small feather with his trunk, the miniature figurine was created by Monrovia California Potters, Hagen Renaker. They created and sold several figurines based on Disney characters at the Disneyland Resort shortly after the park opened in 1955. According to Walt Disney, they produced "the finest three-dimensional reproductions of (the animated) drawings that he ever saw." Based on the short time of production, and the delicate nature of the miniatures these figurines are a treasure to find. Measuring 1.5"x2" and 1.5" tall, the figurine is in very good condition with minor handling wear and crazing due to age.
