An original background color concept from the Warner Bros. Studios animated series, "Tiny Toon Adventures" (1990-1994). Featuring a vibrant rendering of a building labeled as the "Happy Honeymoon Motel," the hand-painted concept art was created at the studio by legendary artist and animator Walt Peregoy, and used during the story development process. Peregoy worked on four episodes in the series, including "Whale's Tales," "Who Bopped Bugs Bunny," "The Return to Acme the Acres Zone," and "K-Acme TV". The concept was used to develop and finalize the color palette, layout of the action, and the overall feel of a scene in one of these episodes, very likely "K-Acme TV." When a color concept is finalized during production, it becomes the reference tool that animators use to paint cels and backgrounds, as well as to further progress through the storyboarding and layout of the individual scenes. Measuring 16.75"x20" overall, with the image itself measuring 12"x20", the concept art is in very good condition with faint paint, edge, and corner wear, discoloration, and spots of paint sticking between the trimmed cel overlay layers.
